Children had the opportunity to sleep away from home in a range of settings, from school halls and tents, to castles and theme parks as part of this popular annual event. There were a few surprises too this year for twenty-one lucky brownies who had the sleepover of a lifetime when they were visited by Spice Girl, Emma Bunton at their sleepover at Top Trumps Towers.
David Bull, UNICEF UK Executive Director said: “The Giant Sleepover is a fantastic way for children to have fun and raise money for vulnerable children around the world.”
dbda director, Sandie Dinning, one of the founders of the Giant Sleepover said: “Our ambition is to harness the power of mass participation to bring young people together for a memorable event, where they can have fun, raise funds and make a difference!”
The event raised thousands of pounds to enable UNICEF to work with vulnerable children worldwide.
