Sellafield Ltd have launched an exciting new education resource aimed at helping primary children understand the fundamental principles of forces and motion.
‘The Force Factor’ includes an engaging interactive which presents pupils with a number of everyday scenarios and encourages them to explore what forces are acting and in which direction.
Understanding Forces are a fundamental part of a young person’s education and the foundation on which science is built. This latest resource (aimed at 7-11 year olds/KS2) lets children learn through active engagement and helps them to develop a sense of cause and effect.
The Force Factor has been designed to support the delivery of the STEM curriculum and the change in emphasis to ‘working scientifically’. It provides teachers with a flexible learning tool that can be used to deliver a core lesson, support revision or refresh.
In addition to the interactive, The Force Factor provides worksheets for pupils, lesson plans for teachers and notes for parents, so they can support their child’s learning at home.
Sellafield Ltd have been producing education resources for primary, secondary and tertiary education for over 20 years, The Force Factor is their latest contribution to support teachers in delivering the science and technology curriculum and stimulate an interest in science and engineering.
