Music and maths go hand in hand

Nationwide Building Society has launched a new and innovative way for children to brush up on their times tables. Teaming up with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra the free online ‘Beatbox Resource’ allows children to learn their times tables with a range of different sounds to make learning more engaging and accessible.

Shelter is calling on teachers, pupils and parents to get involved in the Great Gingerbread House Sale – to raise money for homeless children this Christmas.

The baking challenge, which will see schools bake and build gingerbread festive treats, has been launched to help the charity’s Christmas appeal.
